Template Versioning

ProjectDeck’s template versioning system simplifies template management and ensures that your project users always have access to the most up-to-date templates.
When you create a new template, it is automatically assigned a version number, starting with 1. Each time you make updates to the template and save those changes, the version number increments by 1.
You can easily identify the version of any template in the Template Library grid.
Here’s how template versioning works in practice:
- Form Creation: When your project users utilise a template to create a form, they will always work with the latest available version of that template. This ensures that they benefit from any improvements or modifications you’ve made to the template.
- Duplicating Older Versions: If project users choose to duplicate an older version of a form, the new form created will be based on the version of the template that originally produced the source form. Keep in mind that this template version might be older than the current template version in the library.
Both Admin users and Project users have the capability to check the specific version of the template used to create any form in the Project Page grid.
