Within your project page, you can access ProjectDeck Grids associated with the All Forms Tab or Collections.

The Collections feature empowers each user to create customised views of data or forms within ProjectDeck. The image below showcases the project page with the + Collection button highlighted.

Configuring a Collection

Collections encompass all forms generated from one or more templates. They dynamically update when new forms are created using templates included in the Collection. This flexibility allows you to organise your ProjectDeck projects in a way that suits your needs.

You can include one or more Template Names in your Collection to display all associated forms. After naming your Collection and selecting the templates that define its scope, click the Create button. Alternatively, you can click Close or Cancel to cancel the action without effect.

Viewing a Collection

Your newly created Collection will appear as a separate tab next to the All Forms Tab. Clicking on the Collection tab will display all forms created from the templates that define your Collection.

The default columns for Collections include the following system properties:

  1. Form name
  2. Form version
  3. Template name
  4. Template version
  5. Created by
  6. Created date
  7. Updated by
  8. Updated date

You can utilise all ProjectDeck Grid functions, including search, filter, sort, and group, to manage your forms effectively. Moreover, you can add extra columns to the default Collections view, such as:

  1. Form Components
  2. Form Properties
  3. Form Workflows

Note: Not all Form Components can be displayed in the Collections grid due to practical limitations on the amount of content that can be displayed in a grid format.

Form Components that can be displayed are listed below:

  1. Single-line input components
  2. Number components
  3. Dropdown components
  4. Date picker components
  5. Single-choice components

Automatic Column Matching

When field names align between different Form Properties or Form Components, the data is presented in the same column in the ProjectDeck Grid. For example, two forms with Form Properties named “Project Stage” will share the same column. Column matching is case-sensitive, so variations in capitalisation or pluralisation will result in separate columns in the grid.

For detailed information on how to utilise the functions of the Collections grid, refer to the ProjectDeck Grid help pages.

Adding to a Collection

You can use your Collection similarly to the All Forms Tab.

Any new forms you create within the Collection will be added to both the Collection and the All Forms Tab. If you add a new form from a different template than those already in the Collection, all forms using this new template will be included in your Collection. Therefore, a Collection comprises all forms based on the templates included in the Collection.

Amending a Collection

To make changes to a Collection without adding new forms, click on the selected Collection for a second time. This will open a context menu.
